System Level Direct PIN ESD (SL-DPE) Survey Call to Action

Industry Council on ESD Target Levels has performed a survey on the newly coined term "System level direct PIN ESD (SL-DPE)" testing  from April 2024 to August 2024. A read-out report of the survey has recently been prepared (see below)). It provides an industry overview of the usage and the techniques of direct pin ESD stress testing as stress test of system connector pins. The application of this system stress testing extends over a wide range of industries both of IC manufacturers and system integrators. While IEC 61000-4-2 generators are mostly used, there is in general a lack of aligned test procedures and test targets.
